Dr. Dwayne Karateew

Dr. Karateew’s formal dental education was initiated in New York City at Columbia University, where he completed his DDS degree, which was followed with a one year AEGD program at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, also in New York City.

Dr. Karateew then attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where, he obtained diplomas in both Periodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics. He has served on the faculties of the University of Washington, in post-graduate Prosthodontics, and the University of British Columbia both in undergraduate Prosthodontics and postgraduate Periodontics as the Director of Implant Surgery.

Dr. Karateew is a: Fellow, IPS Master and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantology Fellow of the International Academy of Dental and Facial Esthetics Member of the Academy of Osseointegration Member of the American Academy of Periodontology Member of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics Contributing Consultant to the Editorial Board of Oral Health Editorial Board Member of The Journal of the Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics Dr. Karateew is a published author in numerous peer reviewed journals and has lectured extensively on implant dentistry; locally, nationally and internationally. He has personally trained numerous dentists on implementation of implant dentistry as well as related advanced procedures in their practices.

Dr. Karateew currently maintains a high-end boutique style solo practice in beautiful Vancouver, Canada concentrating on implant assisted dental rehabilitation and aesthetics.
