"My 2 day mentorship with Dr. Karateew was amazing. Dr. Karateew flew down to Edmonton and spent two days in our office training myself and staff. The first day was a fully packed didactic covering a wide variety of relevant topics. I appreciated that I was also provided with a binder containing most of the referenced papers so that I could review the literature myself. We spent the remainder of the first day and beginning of the second day practicing procedures on the provided models. I learned a variety of procedures including implant treatment planning and placement, bone grafting, and indirect sinus lift. Dr. Karateew is very knowledgeable in the field of dental implants. I learned many "tips and tricks" to help me along the way. The second day I had the opportunity to place two implants myself. It was helpful having somebody watch over my shoulder to make sure everything was being done properly. Dr. Karateew did not simply give me step by step directions during the live surgery, I was expected to apply what I had learned the previous day. Dr. Karateew kept the course interesting and fun for the entire staff. It was informal overall which was nice but definitely professional. I would absolutely recommend this course to anybody interested in placing dental implants."
