Dr. Dwayne Karateew
Co-Director / Mentor
Dr. Karateew’s formal dental education was initiated in New York City at Columbia University, where he completed his DDS degree, which was followed with a one year AEGD program at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center, also in New York City. He then attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he obtained diplomas in both Periodontics and Fixed Prosthodontics. Dr. Karateew is also a Co-Director/Mentor of Renaissance Dental and Implant Institute, providing comprehensive courses to dentists from all over North America in the understanding, planning and executing Implant placement and implant assisted/supported restorations. Dr Karateew is a Fellow, Master and Diplomate of the ICOI and has lectured extensively in Canada, United States of America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America.
Objective
New this year: personal mentoring and customized instruction directly from Dr. Karateew. Dr. Karateew will come to your office and facilitate either a two or three day intense program consisting of 1 day of didactic and 1 day of surgical training, or 2 days of didactic and 1 day of surgical training. Practicing partners and your surgical staff are welcome to observe and assist. Surgery can be performed on your existing patients. Neither you nor your patients will have to travel. You also have the ability to choose the dates most suitable to both you and Dr. Karateew. Choose topics from our Introduction to Implant Therapy course, our Advanced Implant Therapy course, or a combination of both.
Introduction to Implant Therapy
Objective: The objective of this course is to facilitate the practitioner who has limited to moderate experience, with the abilities to recognize, treatment plan and execute fundamental
implant options comfortably. The course will also provide a greater scientific understanding of the biology and techniques which govern the success or failure related to implant dentistry.

Advanced Implant Therapy
Objective: This program is specifically designed for the practitioner who has a moderate level of experience (i.e., placed more than 50 implants or has taken the RDII Course 1 or comparable program). The practitioner must have a desire to increase their knowledge base and clinical experience in order to elevate their implant practice to new levels with the addition of hard and soft tissue augmentation techniques. The focus is on complex case types which involve manipulation of the sinuses and/or lateral bone augmentation. Periodontal plastic procedures
are also discussed in depth.

Fee: starting at $5500 plus expenses and tax, according to the number of days of instruction
